With ten years of experience as a psychotherapist, Emily enjoys working with individuals in psychotherapy, while providing more intentional equine interactions through weekend retreats and seasonally-based equine therapy sessions.
​With a specialty focusing on trauma and self-esteem using EMDR, Emily is confident in helping individuals navigate how past experiences have shaped their view of self, relationships, and sense of purpose. Her background in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is a positive, goal-oriented approach helpful for those seeking deeper self-awareness and understanding as they navigate life transitions.
With her expertise in equine therapy, Emily has spoken at several conferences and published articles on trauma-informed care in therapeutic riding facilities. Most recently, Emily acted as a panelist to address mental health issues among the agricultural community at Old Salt Festival and demonstrated equine therapy interventions. As a proponent for women's issues, Emily has also testified at the Colorado State Capitol as a representative of the Junior League of Denver.
